What can I say - this the day it is all about. The American worker. Happy Labor Day to everyone out there. It is another great time to catch up with family and friends - sometimes its good to just take a break for that reason. Thank you to all of those who came before us who worked long and hard in order to give us the opportunities we have today.

I want to also congratulate our raffle winner, Kathy F from Ardmore, PA. She won our Piggy Paints giveaway at the Spring Take2 Sale. It was a very successful sale, and we saw many of our friends. It is hard to believe that tomorrow is September 25 - just 3 months until Christmas. I am urging everyone I know to look for the Made in the USA label when shopping this year. It is important all year long, but most retailers and manfacturers really need to increase their sales this time of year in order to have a successful year. For American manufacturers to be successful, we need to support them especially during periods of heavier shopping. We are pushing to increase our merchandise here on the Market Square USA site, and will be adding many products over the coming weeks. Please look for those at our site, in addition to other e-tailers and brick and mortar stores.
Well, I met many shoppers who absolutely loved the Made in the USA toys! Consistently, shoppers were not only familiar with the Made in the USA brands but also owned a couple items. Needless to say it was a great 2 days, filled with a lot of great people, and laughs.
One of the things that struck me was a comment I heard several times - that products like the Uncle Goose Blocks, and Roy Toys were traditional play sets, and HEIRLOOMS. A women told me that her kids play with a set that is handed down 2 generations. These are the kind of gifts truly cherished in a world where things can at times feel disposable. We did hold our raffle, and Mary from Havertown was the lucky winner of our giveaway item, a Nursery Rhyme block set. Congratulations, Mary and thank you to everyone who made the sale a success! I am excited to announce that I will be attending the Take 2 Consignment Sale on March 22 in Springfield, PA.
This is a great bi-annual event. I will be adding a number of children's items made right here in the USA this month - most of these will be featured at the sale. It will give the customers at the sale a view of companies like Uncle Goose Blocks, Re-Play Tableware, RoyToy building sets, and of course some surprises and giveaway raffles.
